Drink More Water + September to Remember Giveaway Hop

I am so excited to be a part of the 5th Annual September to Remember giveaway hop. I mus thank our hosts NAMES HERE for putting this hop together. While at the end there is an amazing giveaway for y’all to take part in I wanted to share with you the importance of drinking water.

I know that I don’t drink enough water on any given day. When I am working out I drink a bottle or two sometimes. Some days I don’t want any. At night though I always drink a full bottle. I have one of those stainless steel reusable bottles that I keep by my bed. I always finish it before the night is over. Just why is drinking more water important?

Water lubricates the joints

I didn’t know that water helps lubricate joints. Cartilage which is found in your joints and spine is made up of eighty percent water. Long-term dehydration can cause problems with this and thus drinking water is important.

 Skin Health and Beauty

We all know that drinking more water can help your skin look better. It helps with acne and all sorts of other skin and beauty issues. Healthy looking skin will also help your makeup go on much smoother.

 You Need It For Digestion

Water helps break down food and aids in digestion. Again long-term dehydration can cause all sorts of problems with this. Water also helps you getting rid of waste (to put things politely.) That is why whenever my mother complains about not being able to go I tell her to drink a big glass of water and see if that helps.

Those are just a few of the reasons to drink more water. Now, if I could just make myself do it. I know I can add a flavoring or something and make it taste better. I just don’t want to do that because I want to enjoy water the natural way. Like I said there are plenty of times that I drink just plain water. I need to get into a better habit of drinking while I am sitting at my desk working.

  1. I try to drink at least one glass with each of my meals, and try to refill my water bottle at work once or twice!

  2. I try to drink a certain amount of water each day. I have had kidney stones in the past and water helps prevent them.

  3. In order to drink enough water, I leave a jug full on the counter, and make sure I drink the whole thing by evening. Any more that I drink is really a bonus.

  4. I really need to drink more water. I’m horrible about it. I’ve been eye balling those big water bottles with the times of day marked on it!

  5. I’ve been drinking loads of water in isolation, and have been noticing the benefits…. Working from home allows me to go on washroom breaks as much as I want as it is right next door!

  6. I have been trying to drink more H2O as well! Using a refillable water bottle that has time markings has helped me reach my goal.

  8. Drink lots of water – been spending quality time thinking/praying while in the yard – then the hot/humid weather has set in so, letting the grass grow too long time I HAVE to mow it and trying to eat right, exercise regularly.

  9. This is such an important reminder. I used to be very good about staying hydrated but lately I’ve been drinking too much diet cola. I noticed the lethargy, dullness in my skin and I’ve developed terrible heartburn. I definitely need to get back on track with water. I used to love infusing my own water with cucumber, grapefruit and ginger mixes. I needed this boost to get myself i gear!

  10. I’ve been drinking quite a bit of water this past summer – no air conditioning and many 100 degree days. It makes a real difference in how I feel, sweltering hot outside or not!

  11. One act of kindness I have been wanting to make something for each of my nieces and nephews. I’ve been surprised how my siblings have brought up how much they like things I’ve made for them many, many years ago, that I had even forgotten about. I keep taking it for granted, that homemade things for me is mostly b/c of my budget, saving money by making, but when you make cute things for someone else, it is special to them. I’ve made things for some of my nieces and nephews, but not all, quite a few, and I ended up flat out with unexpected things to do this entire year that I haven’t been able to. It might not seem like a good deed, but I have made many things for homeless women and teens who go to the library, children in the hospitals,, mothers and babies in Haiti, troubled kids from church, et.

  12. It’s hard for me to remember to drink during the day,,,all it does is make me have to use the bathroom, and with a disability that is very hard to do; using a walker to have go to the bathroom makes me not want to drink.

  13. I get kidney stones, so I have to make sure I drink lots of water. I have started adding lemon slices to it to make it interesting!

  14. Other then my morning coffee and a few cups of tea once in awhile in winter my go to is water. All these women spending tons of money on stuff to help their skin the number one thing to help it is drink lots of water.

  24. I am struggling with plantar fasciitis currently. It’s terrible when it hurts to walk and definitely brings me down at times.
